The Ardoines development project (300 hectares, 3 km from Paris) - one of the largest in the Greater Paris area - is moving into the operational phase.
Following the authorisation to build two development zones of 37 and 49 hectares, respectively, with a total of 1.6 million square metres of net floor area, the Orly Rungis - Seine Amont Public Development Agency (EPA ORSA) is launching two separate calls for proposals for urban project management. By the Autumn 2012, two teams of town planners will be selected.
The first zone, known as “Seine-Gare-Vitry” (37 hectares, with 600,000 sq. m. net floor area), covers an area stretching from the RER line C station in Vitry Centre to the banks of the Seine. The second zone, “Gare Ardoines,” (49 hectares, with 1 million sq. m. net floor area), covers the south segment of Les Ardoines, around the future multimodal transit hub which will connect the RER line C to the future Greater Paris express metro line.
