The three projects in the running for this year’s commercial and public access project shortlist

The panel of judges, which included BD editorial director Amanda Baillieu and BD editor Ellis Woodman, selected the final 30 shortlisted projects from a record number of entries - 348 across the 5 categories.

The three shortlisted projects for the commercial and public access project category are:

Dovecote, Stables and Barn Restoration at Chillington Hall - in Codsall Wood, Staffordshire - by Horsley Huber Architects - main wood type: Douglas fir, tanalised best quality, to all internal structure, Seasoned English oak heartwood for the external structure including sash and round windows

Nailsea Tithe Barn - in Nailsea - by Architecton - main wood type: English oak
