Scott Tallon Walker to design building for University College Hospital London
Architect Scott Tallon Walker (STW) has been appointed to design a £250 million radiotherapy centre for University College Hospital London.
The project, which received government funding earlier this month, will create the UK’s first proton beam therapy facility adjacent to Hopkins’ cancer care facility.
Eoin O’Moran, director of healthcare at STW, said the scheme would take some five years to complete.
He added: “This is a major win for our practice as it incorporates the very latest medical treatments for cancers, and we hope our designs, incorporating the highly specialised functionality around these new treatments, will showcase STW’s healthcare design expertise to medical centres worldwide.
STW is working with Edward Williams Architects and Tsoi Kobus and Associates on the project.
