John Badman joins management team after five years as associate

Assael has promoted John Badman to director. Badman joined Assel in 2005 and has been an associate since 2007.

The practice has embarked on a growth drive in the past few months and now has 50 staff, with plans to recruit 10 more by the end of the year.

Managing director John Assael said: “We have had an excellent year and are still growing. We expect to be 60-strong by December and so, in line with our growth, we are expanding the management team.

“John has been with the practice for several years and has made a great contribution to the business”.

In February the practice started work on a £7.5 million hotel renovation in Greenwich and in April secured planning permission for a £100 million residential development on a former industrial estate in Fulham.

Last week Assael completed a £15 million residential conversion of a former cinema in Clapham.
