Practice to design 37,000sq m office blocks
Aukett Fitzroy Robinson has landed the next phase of an office scheme in the middle of Reading.
The country’s only listed architect, which was appointed to the job by development manager Bell Hammer, will design two headquarters buildings at the Reading Central scheme for property investor Prupim. The 37,000sq m scheme – called 2 and 3 Reading Central – will replace the existing Energis House.
The practice is also working with Prupim on the refurbishment of 30 Berkeley Square in London, which received planning consent in January.
The firm has also appointed two joint managing directors of its UK operation. Luke Schuberth and Suzette Vela Burkett were previously its London studio directors. As well as the schemes for Prupim, the pair are masterminding the refurbishment of 123 Victoria Street office and retail block in central London (pictured).
Former UK managing director John Vincent, who was in the post for seven years, has now been switched to concentrate on major projects and client development.
