Silver Skole more than doubled in size after three-year project
CF Moller Architects has completed the renovation and extension of Denmark’s oldest acting school.
Sølvgades Skole, also Copenhagen’s first municipal school, was built in 1847. CF Moller was appointed to bring the school facilities up to date and add a six-storey extension.
The three year project has more than doubled the school’s size, from 2,100sq m to 2,400sq m.
CF Moller said the work was inspired by the surrounding neighbourhood’s vernacular, using pastel colours while adopting a modernist style.
