Coop Himmelb(l)au has completed a protestant church in the Austrian town of Hainburg.
The Austrian practice said the shape of the Martin Luther Church was derived from “that of a huge table”, with its entire roof construction resting on four steel columns.
The roof elements of the church project were assembled in a shipyard.
Coop Himmelb(l)au completed the project in less than a year.
