Frank Gehry has described his former client Eli Broad as a “control freak” and vowed never to work with him again.
Gehry was speaking on a CBS television profile of Broad, the billionaire philanthropist who has funded some of Los Angeles’s most prominent cultural buildings, and hired Gehry to design his house.
Gehry told the programme: “Eli is a control freak. I worked on a house for him. I didn’t want to do it… I just told him I didn’t like him. He said: ’you’ll learn to like me’. I won’t do a project for him.”
