Edinburgh practice J&F Johnston is to conxvert an existing nine-storey building into a three-star, 72-bedroom hotel in Owerri, Nigeria.
The US$ 8.5 million job, for Executive Garden Hotels, was won in competitive tender and involves retaining the existing structural grid and floor slabs but rebuilding everything else, said co-director Martin Sørensen.
The practice has been working in Nigeria since 2000 and has a number of hotels under its belt.
