Lincoln's Lindengate scheme
Lyons Sleeman Hoare scheme submitted for outline planning
Lincolnshire Cooperative Society has applied for outline planning permission for a major development in Lincoln city centre.
The Lyons Sleeman Hoare-designed Lincoln Lindengate scheme would replace a 1970s bus station with a new transport interchange, 20,000sq m of retail space and a 920sq m department store.
The plans also include a new bar and restaurant quarter, and improved pedestrian access. The designs have drawn from Lincoln’s medieval past, with previous plans reduced in height to protect key heritage areas of the city.
The project forms a key part for Lincoln City Centre masterplan. A planning decision for the development is expected in December.
