The London Dungeon will leave its home on Tooley Street in Southwark after securing planning permission for a venue in Waterloo designed by Kay Elliott Architects.
Lambeth has approved owner Merlin Entertainments’ plans for a new venue on the Southbank, close to its other attractions the Aquarium and the London Eye.
Permission was granted for the conversion of a grade II listed County Hall building on Westminster Bridge Road, formerly used as the office of the Greater London Council.
The dungeon has been located in the railway arches under at London Bridge for 35 years but has been forced to move so the station can be redeveloped.
