The Spurs' redevelopment masterplan
Make and KSS have clinched the contract to design new premises for Tottenham Hotspur FC in north London.
The scheme, for an 8ha site including the football club’s current ground in White Hart Lane, Tottenham, and an adjacent industrial estate, will have new public space, a club museum and shops, plus a new base for the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, the club’s community arm.
Ken Shuttleworth’s firm Make will masterplan the site for the 60,000-seat venue and design 500 accompanying homes, while architect KSS will put together plans for the new stadium itself. Martha Schwartz will act as landscape architect, while engineer Buro Happold will work with KSS on the stadium’s design.
Two listed buildings - Warmington House and Fletcher House – will be removed as part of the redevelopment.
Last month, the club announced it intended to remain within the London Borough of Haringey rather than seek a new location.
Two public exhibitions setting out plans for the area will open next week.
