NBBJ's office complex for internet giant Google in San Francisco Bay, California
The first Google office to be built from scratch in the USA
Seattle-based architecture practice NBBJ has unveiled images of a new office complex for internet giant Google in San Francisco Bay, California.
Google’s offices have previously been housed in existing buildings that have been renovated, but this will be the first Google office in America built from scratch.
The plans were unveiled in US magazine Vanity Fair this week, and show a complex of nine four-storey rectangular buildings.
The buildings feature green roofs and are connected by bridges to an outdoor cafe space.
Construction work on the AHMM-designed Google headquarters in King’s Cross is set to start later this year.
