RIBA Council 2012 - election results

Nine new members have been voted on to the RIBA Council following this year’s election. They will take up their places in September.

The national members include Alan Shingler, head of sustainability at Sheppard Robson, who has been re-elected, and Elena Tsolakis, a director of Nicosia practice Kyriakos Tsolakis Architects who previously worked at Dixon Jones.

Mark Benzie is a former Arb board member and Brian Godfrey stood unsuccessfully as a candidate in the Arb elections this year.

National Council Members:

Mark Benzie, former Arb board member

Sir Sydney Chapman, the former Tory MP

Brian Godfrey, an unsuccessful candidate in this year’s Arb elections

Alan Shingler, head of sustainability at Sheppard Robson

Dale Sinclair, vice chair of the RIBA practice and profession committee

Elena Tsolakis, a director of Kyriakos Tsolakis Architects
