Rooftop view
Property was previously two terraced dwellings
Paul & O Architects has completed a new house in west London.
The house was previously two separate terraces, which were demolished except for the street elevation, creating a double-width five-bedroom home.
The ground floor is sub-divided by ‘floating bloxes’ that contain the fireplace, storage and kitchen units.
On the first floor rendered walls give way to louvered screens designed to accentuate the long views diagonally from the house.
A staircase, which can be closed off at each level to give privacy, winds its way from the basement to the second floor.
