PRP and CF Moller get planning for Cambridge housing

The scheme for Skanska features 273 new homes

PRP Architects and C.F. Moller Architects have been given planning consent for a new housing development on Long Lane in Cambridge.

The proposal, for housing developer Skanska, features over 270 homes including courtyard houses, mews streets, terraces and apartments.

The homes aim for Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 or 5 and feature large triple glazed windows.

The 54,000sq m site sits adjacent to an existing grade II listed farmhouse in the south of Cambridge and retains an existing boundary hedgerow which will feature beside a large park with pedestrian and cycle routes.

Peter Dodds of PRP said: “The park naturally creates a community focus at the heart of the development and we have reinforced this unique sense of place by creating subtly different character areas around it.”
