RCKa Highgate homes OK'd

Flats to help bankroll community centre work

RCKa has been given planning to redevelop a community and youth centre in north London.

The scheme in Highgate will be funded by 31 residential units that will be put up for sale on the site of a former Territorial Army complex. The existing 1950s buildings will be torn down.

Client on the scheme is Camden council and the work will include providing update facilities for the Highgate Newtown Community Centre and Fresh Youth Academy.

The 3,000sq m site falls within the Dartmouth Park Conservation Area.
