HLM board director Caroline Buckingham has been made RIBA’s vice president practice and profession.

The RIBA said her brief is to “improve pride, fees and diversity within the architectural profession”.

Buckingham is an owner-director of HLM and was one of the team that carried out an MBO of the firm back in 2004.

She said: “This [appointment] will enable me to deliver a programme that is progressive, inclusive and champions what is an incredibly important industry within the built environment.”
