The 243rd Royal Academy of the Arts Summer Exhibition, an annual staple of London’s arts calendar, opens next week.
Piers Gough and Alan Stanton together curated the architecture room, which has Tonkin Liu’s model of the Shi Ling Bridge as its centrepiece.
Carmody Groarke shows a model of its Studio East dining pavilion, while a drawing by Andrew Coles of Julian Harrap Architects shows how John Soane’s Pitzhanger Manor looked in the early 1800s.
Stanton said: “This year we tried to encourage younger practices.”
The show opens at the Royal Academy in Piccadilly on June 7 and runs until August 15.
