Feilden Clegg Bradley has nearly completed The Hive in Worcester

The £40 million building for the University of Worcester and Worcestershire County Council features a distinctive copper aluminium alloy principal wall and roof finish.

Its shape is intended to mirror the nearby Malvern Hills, while inside it will include a fully integrated public and university library, as well as a customer service centre and learning sections.

The building, which is due to open in the summer, includes a 700kW biomass boiler and is expected to reach Breeam “excellent” standard.
