Cross-Thames link will carry up to 2,500 people an hour
Wilkinson Eyre’s Thames cable car will open in time for the 2012 Olympic Games, with a June 28 launch date planned.
The cross-river link, sponsored by Emirates, runs from the O2 arena in Greenwich to the Excel exhibition centre in the Royal Docks. It will have the capacity to carry 2,500 people per hour.
Construction on the 1.1km cable car, which reaches a height of 90m, began in July 2011.

I think this is a great addition to London's transport network.
just don't ride it on the foggy day.
Can I use my Oyster card?
On windy days it will have to close.
