BD takes a look at the workspaces of architects

FAT director Sam Jacob says: “My desk is a strange contradiction at the moment. I’m caught between a burglary and the delivery of shiny replacement equipment which means I’m left with an odd array of tools: Pencils, a pad of tracing paper, and old Macbook and an iPad. But actually, there’s something very productive in this combination of cloud computing and hand drawing that highlights the immediacy of both ends of the technological spectrum. I’m beginning to think I might cancel that order for a behemoth desktop computer and settle into this techno-primitive work arrangement for good.”
