The #BDInteriors100 2014: the most useful interiors tweeters

Twitter top 100 launched today - and celebrated tonight at tweet-up

Today sees the launch of our #BDInteriors100 list of the best Twitter users from the interiors world.

These are our recommendations for accounts worth following, especially if you are an architect with an interest in interiors.

After we announced the competition last month, nominations flooded in via Twitter using the hashtag #BDInteriors100.

The final 100 was put together by the BD team based on a subjective mixture of influence – derived in part from klout score – and the utility, interest and entertainment value of each nominee’s feed.

We aimed to come up with a list of accounts characterised by lively content but which reflect widely different outlooks and interests. They are also a mixture of personal and corporate accounts.

The launch of the Top 100 will be celebrated at tonight’s BD tweet-up which starts at 6.30pm.

With an interiors focus, this is being held at the offices of WeWork in the newly re-opened Sea Containers House on the South Bank which was designed by the interiors team at architect TP Bennett.

During the evening we will hear from Doug Smith, principal director of the practice which is a finalist in BD’s Interior Architect of the Year category.

The tweet-up will also be a great chance to network with fellow professionals and BD staff.

The tweet-up is free but you must register to attend at

Meanwhile, we’re offering VIP passes to Sleep, the hotel design show, and two places at the Sleep after-party on Wednesday November 26 to the first 10 of our finalists to tweet us with either: “I’d like to attend #sleep14” or “I’d like to attend the #Sleepafterparty”. Sleep is run by BD’s publisher, UBM.

Without further ado, here is the #BDInteriors100. Congratulations to everyone who’s made it on to the final list.
